NAACA Donates Water Pumps Worth GHC24,000 to Atebubu SHS to Address Water Challenges
NAACA donates water pumps worth GHC24,000 to Atebubu SHS, significantly addressing water challenges and enhancing the school’s infrastructure. This generous contribution underscores NAACA’s commitment to improving educational facilities and supporting community development. The North American Atebubu Citizens Association (NAACA) has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the development of education by donating three water pumps valued at GHC24,000 to the Atebubu Senior High School in the Bono East Region.
At a brief ceremony to hand over the pumps to the school, the Financial Secretary of NAACA, Appau Joseph, highlighted the importance of the donation in supporting the school in addressing such a critical problem to promote and improve academic work.
“We discussed with the management of the school and they presented their needs to us of which some are pressing such as the water problem so we decided to tackle that one first. So today we are here on behalf of NAACA to present these water pumps to help deal with the water situation facing the school”, he disclosed.
He stressed that NAACA as an association is committed to promoting and supporting the development of the Atebubu community and that is evident in the number of developmental projects they have undertaken over the years.
“As an association, our primary focus is to drive the development of Atebubu by addressing key challenges in education, healthcare, and community infrastructure. We have consistently demonstrated this commitment through a variety of impactful philanthropic activities. These include the renovation of the Atebubu Library, which has enhanced access to educational resources for students, donation of critical medical supplies to the Atebubu Hospital, provided scholarships to brilliant but underprivileged students, enabling them to pursue higher education plus several other initiatives”, he added.
The Headmaster of Atebubu Senior High School, James Arytey Kartey, in his remarks expressed gratitude to NAACA, noting that the water pumps would significantly reduce the water problem on campus because the water problem is having adverse effects on students’ health, academic performance and overall well-being.
“We are deeply grateful to NAACA for this generous donation. The water pumps will greatly reduce the ongoing water challenges on campus, which have been negatively impacting our students’ health, academic performance, and overall well-being.”
