NAACA Donates Medical Supplies to Atebubu Hospital to Support Healthcare Delivery

NAACA donates essential medical supplies to Atebubu Hospital, enhancing healthcare delivery and supporting the community’s well-being. The North American Atebubu Citizens Association (NAACA), a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting the well-being of the Atebubu community, has donated significant medical supplies to the Atebubu Municipal Hospital.

The donation, which is the second time in less than a year that NAACA is presenting medical supplies to the hospital underscores NAACA’s unwavering commitment to improving healthcare delivery and addressing the medical needs of the people of Atebubu.

The medical supplies estimated to cost over GHC300,000 includes essential medical items such as wheelchairs, ultrasound transmission gel, gloves, disposable gowns, syringes, tracheal tubes, tourniquets, toothette swab kits, head positioners and many other crucial medical supplies that are expected to enhance the hospital’s capacity to deliver quality care, especially in critical areas such as emergency and maternal health services.

Presenting the supplies to the hospital’s management on behalf of the association, Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom, the Canada Atebubuhene expressed the association’s commitment to continuing its support for the hospital, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges facing healthcare delivery in Atebubu.

“On behalf of the North American Atebubu Citizens Association, I am honoured to present these supplies to support the Atebubu Municipal Hospital. This donation reflects our ongoing commitment to improving healthcare in our community. We believe that addressing the challenges in healthcare delivery requires a collective effort, and we encourage all stakeholders to work together to ensure quality medical care for the people of Atebubu,” Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom reiterated.

Dr. Osman Abdulai Musah, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital expressed profound gratitude to NAACA for the timely intervention, noting that the donated items would go a long way in bridging resource gaps and improving patient care.

“NAACA has been a very important stakeholder to the hospital and they have been supplying us with medical goods and some consumables since I have been in this hospital and today the items we see here are another testament to NAACA’s support which I must admit will help us a lot in terms of saving cost concerning procurement of supplies as a facility”.

He expressed management’s appreciation to NAACA for their unwavering support, acknowledging their significant impact on enhancing healthcare delivery at the hospital.
